A GROUP of Bendigo men used a police scanner, UHF radios and a host of tools during a covert operation to steal parking meters from the city earlier this year.
The Bendigo Magistrates Court yesterday heard that the men stole 24 meters from the central business district between January 13 and 21.

Although police claim the thefts only netted $500 for the men, the machines were valued at $990 each, putting the total cost of the thefts at more than $24,000." More...

Police probe whether profane call made by officer

Kerrigan said he discussed the bizarre radio transmission two weeks ago with Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli. Morganelli was unavailable for comment.

Since then, Kerrigan said he has been waiting for help from a voice analyst ''from another agency,'' which he declined to identify." More...
